Food Storage, Everyone's doing it.

So, Harmon's is having a caselot sale and we just bought 10, 45 lb buckets of wheat for $20 each, a good deal. ( I'm pretty sure it is anyway) I have this driving desire to get it and more of it and want everyone to too. How many of you have a three months supply? I guess this would be for the long term storage, but I will keep replenishing this because I use my food storage.

Here is a great website to help you get started at safelygatherin.blogspot.com, a good resource. Also, as I was browsing trying to bulk up on info I came acrossed this great website where a lady and her family, plus 7 other families, put themselves in a situation where they didn't use electricity, or running water, so they lived off of their food and water storage for 3 days. They document about their experience here. Very interesting and eye opening. Now get prepared because, "If ye are prepared, ye shall not fear." And knowledge is power. And E=mc2 Now go get-r-dun.

This is something that I have been too relaxed about in the past and I really need to step my efforts up more than just a notch! Sure would be easier if life weren't so crazy. Finding balance. . . that's tough. Thanks for the reminder to be obedient and wise. :)

hey, I'm glad I found your blog! We have had the same URGE to get our food storage going! We just finished a 6 month supply, and I, too, went to Harmons for their caselot sale! Check out this blog... everythingunderthesun.blogspot.com for some great ideas, too!
