Training, not for the weak

It's really the 17th today...(I had such a bad experience I am now just finishing this post almost 2 weeks later.)

I didn't know if I should write this post because I really like to dwell on the positive, but I realized we all have bumps in the road and that's what makes us stronger. Plus, I can look back to today and see just how far I really have come.

Today we were doing a bit of training, and it kicked my butt {no sissy word will substitute here}

We were at the track attempting 1/2 mile intervals, which is 2 times around the track. We took the first 1/2 mile at an easy pace, then the second 1/2 we ran it hard, oh my word, did I feel it, and am still feeling it. I'm running with a stallion runner. Then she says k, one more time. I'm like back to back? Yeah! So I made it the first lap but on the 2nd (this is a horrible flashback) I couldn't catch my breath. It reminded me of when I was in labor trying to do the Lamaze breathing technique...I ended up breathing into a bag because I was hyperventilating. That's what happened here, I was hyperventilating, and it felt like a panic attack. I never wanna experience that ever again.

On a better note, we did it again a week later. We took it at our own stride and it was a bit easier.

I am impressed by what you have been up to. You may want to check out the marathon mommy's blog linked from mine (down in blogs I like to check out), it might help you out with some tips. They were just talking about ice bath for legs and stuff. It might help you out?
